Role Overview
Equity Investment Bank is seeking a highly skilled and strategic professional to join the leadership team as the Head of Finance. The role will be a strategic executive responsible for leading the organization's financial management, driving financial performance, ensuring regulatory compliance, and providing critical financial insights to support strategic decision-making across Equity Investment Bank.
Job Responsibilities/ Accountabilities
1. Financial Strategy and Leadership
· Develop and implement a comprehensive financial strategy aligned with the bank's overall business objectives.
· Provide strategic financial guidance to senior management and board of directors.
· Design and maintain robust financial frameworks that support organizational growth and sustainability.
· Lead financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
2. Financial Performance Management
· Oversee the bank's financial performance across multiple dimensions.
· Develop and monitor key financial performance indicators.
· Conduct sophisticated financial analysis to identify opportunities for optimization.
· Provide detailed financial reporting and actionable insights to executive leadership.
3. Financial Planning and Analysis
· Lead comprehensive financial planning and budgeting processes.
· Develop advanced financial models and predictive analytics.
· Conduct in-depth financial scenario planning.
· Support strategic decision-making through rigorous financial evaluation.
4. Cost Management and Optimization
· Monitor and control the bank’s operating expenses, ensuring cost efficiency across all business units.
· Identify opportunities for cost savings and process optimization while maintaining high service standards.
· Ensure alignment of resource allocation with the bank’s strategic priorities.
5. Regulatory Compliance and Governance
· Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and reporting standards set by the Central Bank of Kenya and other relevant bodies.
· Oversee tax compliance and reporting, ensuring timely submission and adherence to statutory requirements.
· Maintain strong internal controls to safeguard the bank’s financial integrity and mitigate risks.
